How I Travel Often On A Budget (With A Full Time Job)

If you follow me on instagram or snapchat, you probably see that I am fairly often in an airport, on the road, checking into new locations, and utilizing various geo-filters. I get a lot of comments from friends like, “You’re such a jet-setter now!” and, “I don’t know how you do it.” I just got home from a weekend trip to Nashville and it got me thinking that I should share some secrets on how I do it so hopefully you can do it too!

Travel is hard work. It’s not always a vacation. It’s exhausting. It takes planning, research, time, money, and energy. I pay a lot of money to pack my suitcases, sit in uncomfortable seats, experience jet lag, eat bad food, sleep in unfamiliar places, and at the end of it all… I’m still exhausted with a suitcase full of dirty laundry on a Sunday night.

I know, sounds like so much fun, right?

Well, I’d rather be tired from travel than well rested from staying home. Yes, travel is hard work. But, it is worth every reward. I love meeting new people, seeing new cultures, and pushing myself to learn about our country and the world.
